The operationalization of the Blue Fund for the Congo Basin knows significant progress resulting from the commitment of the Heads of States of the Member States of the Commission manifested at the summit of April 29 in Brazzaville, under the coordination of Madame Arlette SOUDAN-NONAULT, Minister of Tourism and Environment of the Republic of Congo and the support of partners.

After signing the prefiguration study contract with Cabinet Ernest Young last April, Brazzaville is hosting from 12 to 14 September 2019, the first meeting of the steering committee for this study launched by the technical coordinator of the Congo Basin Climate Commission .
